Lion Premium Grills makes two grills that power almost every outdoor kitchen we build: the L75000 and the L90000. They share the same stainless steel construction, the same build quality and the same accessory system. The real differences come down to size, burners and how you want to install them. Here’s how to choose.
The short version
- L75000: 32″ wide, 4 cast stainless steel main burners (60,000 BTU) plus a 15,000 BTU infrared rotisserie back burner, for 75,000 BTU total. 647 sq. in. main cooking area, 830 sq. in. total.
- L90000: 40″ wide, 5 cast stainless steel main burners (75,000 BTU) plus a 15,000 BTU infrared rotisserie back burner, for 90,000 BTU total. 802 sq. in. main cooking area, 1,030 sq. in. total.
Both use 304 cast stainless steel main burners, stainless steel flame tamers, flame thrower ignition and internal grill lights for cooking after dark.
Lion L75000: the 32-inch workhorse
The L75000 is the grill we put in our 3-Pc Entertainment Cabana as standard. Its 30 × 19¼″ cooking grid handles everyday family meals and weekend cookouts with room to spare, and it takes up less counter space, which leaves more room for prep, a side burner or storage.
Built-in prices: the L75000 32-inch built-in natural gas grill and the L75000 32-inch built-in propane grill are both $2,149. Built-in cut-out: 31″ wide × 21½″ deep × 9⅝″ high.
Lion L90000: the 40-inch entertainer
The L90000 adds an extra burner and a 37½ × 19¼″ cooking grid. If you regularly cook for a crowd, or like to run different heat zones at once, the extra width makes a real difference. It’s the grill in our featured 3-Piece TV Island build, and it’s available as an upgrade in the Cabana.
Built-in prices: the L90000 40-inch built-in natural gas grill and the L90000 40-inch built-in propane grill are both $2,599. Built-in cut-out: 38½″ wide × 21½″ deep × 9⅝″ high.

Built-in or freestanding?
A built-in drops into a BBQ island for a permanent, finished look. A freestanding grill comes on a stainless cart, so it works on a patio with no island at all.
- L75000 freestanding natural gas or propane cart: $2,399.
- L90000 freestanding natural gas or propane cart: $3,299.
Already have a Lion built-in and want to go freestanding? Lion also makes conversion carts: the 32″ conversion cart ($749) and the 40″ conversion cart ($1,299).
Natural gas or propane
Every Lion grill is available in natural gas or propane, and built-in prices are the same either way. If you’re undecided, read our guide to natural gas vs. propane.
The free gift
Every new Lion grill includes a free accessory package: a grill cover, smoker box, rotisserie kit, griddle pan and griddle pan handle, valued at over $350. That applies to both the L75000 and the L90000.
The warranty
For normal residential use, Lion covers cast stainless burners, the stainless steel frame and housing, and stainless steel cooking grids for a lifetime. The stainless flame tamer is covered for 3 years, and gas valves and other parts for 1 year. The warranty excludes commercial or rental use and labor. Full details are on our FAQ.
So which one?
- Choose the L75000 if you cook for a family or small groups, want more counter space around the grill, or are building a compact island.
- Choose the L90000 if you host often, cook large amounts at once, or want the most grilling surface in your island.
